Corduroy Kid

||     Pinafore - Topshop      Shirt - Topshop       Cardigan - Pins & Needles at Urban Outfitters  ||
||  Tights - Primark    Boots - New Look     Bag - Esprit at ASOS  ||

Another outfit for the blog today and this time I am sharing my absolute favourite Winter-to-Spring outfit. I think it perfectly sums up the change in seasons.

First things first, I'm wearing another pinafore. I did an outfit post previous with one of these a while back and I have worn it to death, so picking up another was without question - they just suit my style completely. This one is sightly more traditional in style than my other, with the cross back and button-over straps and it is in this stunning burgundy corduroy material which I am in love with. It makes it so soft and comfy and such a versatile piece -  it's definitely going to end up wardrobe staple!

The shirt I wore with it has this gorgeous botanical floral print all over and ties in beautifully, the dress bringing out its burgundy accents. You can see another way I styled this shirt here

I then threw over a big cardigan because let's be honest, I live in England and it is not really warm enough yet to where just this out, so a big fuzzy jumper keeps me covered for all weathers. My bag is the one I'm using for sixth form because as I suspected, shoulder backs have been murdering my back with the library I seem to carry everywhere with me these days, so this backpack is my new best friend.

And then its just completed with the holy grail super cosy tights and the Chelsea boots I wear 24/7. Ta-dah! A perfect early spring look.

What do you wear to change with the seasons?

Winter Playlist

When We Were Young - Adele
Life On Mars? - David Bowie
YOUTH - Troye Sivan
Poloroid - Imagine Dragons
Starman - David Bowie
Stitches - Shawn Mendes
Imagine - Jack Johnson
Love Yourself - Justin Bieber
Bros - Wolf Alice
Stay - Rihanna
Heroes - David Bowie
Robot - Novah
Vienna - Ultravox
Lorde - Royals
Sense of Home - Harrison Storm

Music is something I rarely post about, but something I love, so today I am changing that and sharing my winter playlist with you all. As you can probably tell, my music taste is incredibly mixed, both in style and era, so here's a few notes on some of my current favourites

-  Adele // If I'm not listening to this playlist, I'm listening to 25. It is hands down my favourite album of the past year - every single song is beautiful. Adele is queen. (also I'm seeing her live in march ohmygosh I'm excited)
-  Bowie // It's no secret I love 70s/80s music, and Bowie is the absolute king of that era. Recently I have been listening to his music pretty much non-stop, reminding me of its utter brilliance and his sheer genius. A music mastermind sadly lost.
-  Chart toppers // I've also got some of my chart hit favourites on this list, the most played probably being Shawn Mendes, but of course what's a playlist without a guilty bit of Biebs eh? :)
-  The new finds // I love finding great lesser known artists, so this playlist is not without a few. Harrison Storm is definitely one of my favourites recently, his voice is so peaceful, it just chills me completely out, as does Novah and I hope to find more of their music I love in the future. Definitely check these 2 out if you haven't.
What's on your winter playlist?

90s Dungaree Dreams

||  Dungarees - ASOS        Jumper - Brandy Melville     Necklace - Accessorize  ||
||     Shoes - Converse    Rings - Miscellaneous  ||

Let's just skip over the fact I haven't posted in 2 months even though I said I would. A levels are hard. But I've got a bit more time as its half term so I'm back on it - I've really missed my little blog.

To start back I thought I'd do one of my favourites, the good old outfit post. Today's ensemble has a bit of a 90s vibe going on with dungarees and converse, which wasn't intentional but I'm quite liking it. I feel a little bit Rachel Green.

Starting with the dungarees, they are one of my newer purchases which I've had my eye on for a while. Recently I"ve been loving 1 piece garments like dresses or pinafores and so as dungarees were missing from my list, I decided to order some from ASOS to see if they suited me. I did not expect these to fit all at if I'm honest but ohmygosh do they just. Like a glove. I  also wasn't sure if I was going to like the fit, as they're a bit looser than the super skinny jeans super high waisted I usually wear, but I was surprised to find I really do and it's a nice change.

My style is quite simple so with these I chucked on my current favourite jumper, this plain khaki one from Brandy Melville aka the softest baggiest thing ever, a bit of gold jewellery from Accessorize to spice it up a bit, and my very battered white converse which may or may not be my second pair - they are well loved!

I never thought 90s fashion was for me but I do very much like subtle twist on it and I'm definitely going to see what other trends from the decade I can subtly incorporate into my style. After all, I am a 90s kid. But only just.

What do you think of dungarees & the 90s?
