Sunshine Feeds The Soul

||   Shorts - H&M    Top - Brandy Melville     Shirt - New Look     Boots - New Look    Sunnies - Jigsaw ||

My first outfit post outside! I decided to take my outfit posts to some different locations this summer as I feel the beige walls of my bedroom can be a little depressing, compared to the sunshine of my back garden, which was looking particularly bright and green on this June day. It took a bit of imagination to get a good set up (a selfie stick in my garden table's parasol hole as a tripod shhhhh) but I managed to get some OK shots, so I'm pretty happy with myself.

I wore this little combination about a week ago when I went to the Warner Bros HP studios. This was my second time going, but it was still as exciting as the first time. There is just so much to see; you could go 30 times and you'd still see something new on your 30th visit that you hadn't seen before - it's incredible the amount of stuff there is! Plus I got to see the new Platform 9 & 3/4 exhibit which was amazing so if you haven't been since that has been set up, definitely revisit!

Now the outfit. The main garment I loved in this combo was these new white lace shorts I purchased from H&M. They are so cool and comfortable so perfect for summer, as well as being very easy to wear. I look forward to living in these in the next few months. As I'm quite into simple outfits at the moment, I just paired them with a basic black crop top from Brandy Melville. To add a different colour from the monochrome, I wanted to wear a denim jacket with the outfit, but since I don't currently own one that fits (I am fixing this asap), I wore a slightly ombre denim shirt from New Look, which I think worked just as well, and also gives it a bit more of a laid-back vibe. I finished it off with my beloved black Chelsea boots and some classic aviator sunglasses.
The outfit is simple yet screams summer to me and I'm a little in love.

Now I must get back to watching Wimbledon.

  1. Great outfit! Love the shorts!

  2. I miss summer incredibly now after looking at this. This is such a cute outfit. I love the shorts especially x

  3. Love love love this outfit! I thought your top looked a little Brandy Melville-esque before I read where it was from. I love the blue denim over the top too xx
