The Beach Is Hot, The Life Is Good

|| Dress - H&M    Hat - Accessorize   Shoes - Primark ||

This is probably one of my final summery outfit posts I am going to do because unfortunately the sunshine is beginning to leave us and autumn is coming (on the bright side, warm jumpers and awesome winter TV)

I bought this dress a while back and I managed to get it 25% off as one of the straps was broken. But it was easy to mend and honestly you can't tell the difference so a complete bargain. You know I'm obsessed with lace so this was right up my alley. I've recently been loving H&M a lot more, mainly due to Lexie, and her amazing style and loads of her lovely clothes are from H&M. It's really affordable and the style is very simple and plain yet stylish so great for everyday when I don't want to be fussing too much with what I'm wearing. My hat is from Accessorize and I bought it for Greece and I lurvvess it, even if it is a little big for my head :). I wore this outfit a few times in Greece as it was simple and nice and cool and comfy. And my shoes are my beloved and well worn jade green sandals from Primark. I'm so sad because they are on the verge of disintegrating with the bottoms ripping and the straps really lose but i love them so much :( Sorry for my horrible feet, I just painted them right after I took the pictures but oh well, just focus on the shoes :)

I've recently been using my twitter a lot more for blogging purposes so you can have a look at that if you wish, the link is on my sidebar along with my Instagram. I need to make my social media links bigger. Just a bit of self promo there, Sorry ;)

My last post also went down really well so thank you so anyone who had a peek. It was a little more thought out that a few of my recent posts so I'm thinking I will do some more writing-y posts in the future.

I can hear the Simpsons movie playing for the second time in 2 days and it's rather distracting so I shall stop rambling before I make any grammatical errors. Hope you have a lovely day

The British Tag

So in this post I am going to be doing The British Tag! I haven't done a tag post in while and this one kept popping up in my YouTube subscription box and I have really enjoyed watching them. So I thought I would do it on the blog. Aptly I am sitting here with my cup of tea and a biscuit, feeling very British, so I shall get started!

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?
It depends really. I would say probably 2 - 3 cups a days on average. I mainly drink tea in the winter when its really cold, so that may go up to 4 and in the summer it can go down to 1 or sometimes none if its a super hot day. And no sugars. partly because it makes me feel healthier, but mainly because I don't like it.
2. Favourite part of your roast
YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS! You could give me an entire plate of them and I would love you forever. Also pigs in blankets (sausages in bacon).
3. Favourite dunking biscuit
A trusty digestive. I love the chocolate ones the most (even more so the dark chocolate ones - I find the milk ones can be a bit sweet) but a plain one will suit me just fine. I don't like dunking my biscuits to long I like them to retain some crunch.
4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
Watching Wimbledon. I wait all year for it, it is the highlight of the summer and I love to sit and watch it all day and do nothing else. I refuse to leave the house on the day of the final. I also love cream teas in the sunshine, and ice creams on the beach when its raining.
5. Favourite word?
Lovely. You may have guessed this is you read my blog a lot or follow me on twitter, but it is my favourite word, I will use it to describe anything and it just making me think of happiness and I just love it.
6. Cockney rhyme slang?
Apples and Pears, Dog and Bone, Rosie Lee, Ruby Murray ............. my grandparents are from the east end, it has been drummed into me.
7. Favourite sweet
I love Malteasers, but I'm thinking that's counts as chocolate, so I guess Strawberry bonbons or fudge.
8. What would your pub be called?
Honestly no idea. Probably The____ Hedgehog, I don't know why but hedgehogs just came to my mind. The Lovely Hedgehog? I don't know. Bad question. Moving on.
9. No.1 British person
There are so many amazing British people all for different reasons, how can I chose? I'm going to say William Shakespeare because he is the ultimate writer and possibly the ultimate British person.
10. Favourite shop / restaurant
My favourite restaurants in Britain are Yo!Sushi and Gourmet Burger Kitchen (they do the best chips ON THE PLANET). My favourite shop would be Topshop or Waterstones. Clothes and Books, naturally.
11. What British song pops into your head?
Every person I've seen do this says the spice girls, but the first one that I thought of was Imagine by John Lennon. Its so timeless and classic and I will always love it.
12. Marmite.

I am going to tag Through A Cats Eyes, Faye Olivia, Lexie Alexandra, Lost In A Library and anyone else who would like to do this.

Also, side note, today is my blogs two year birthday so Happy Birthday Blog. I love youss.

Two posts in a week?! Whats happening?! I must keep this up :)

Pictures taken on my Canon Ixus, iPhone 5s and my dads Canon Powershot

So I've been home from Greece quite a while now and I thought after a few days weeks of sleeping I should stop my procrastinating and do a holiday post. I don't have to much too say so I shall summarise so as not to bore you (and because I'm lazy shhhh)

I went to Mykonos, a small island in the Cyclades in Greece. It was beautiful and lovely and I recommend it a lot. The sea was so warm and clear. There were a lot of cats. And I love cats.

Surprisingly I did not eat a lot of Feta cheese, but I did eat a lot of olives and a rather insane amount of yoghurt. I'm going to turn into a pot of yoghurt.

To be honest we didn't do that much. We wanted a relaxing holiday after a stressful year and so we just stayed the pool and sunbathed and swam and went to the beach and it was just perfect.

We did go to Delos, one of the major historical sites in Greece, which was stunningly amazing and so beautiful to see all the ruins from thousands of years ago. It was so hot though and there was no shade :(

I got through 2 and a bit of my book load and can we just take a minute to talk about Anna and the French Kiss. NEW FAVOURITE BOOK. Since I've been home I've just been nagging my friends to read it, they're probably sick of it by now ^_^

The hotel we stayed in was amazing and can complete with its own resident kitten :) I still missed my cat Taf though.

So that is my holiday in a few nutshells (great pun there Helena....... ). It was wonderful and I want to go back. I am having sunshine withdrawal symptoms, which are mainly sleeping. That's pretty much all I've done since I've been back. Since coming home I've been to see War Horse at the theatre (AMAZEBALLS), worked out how to get a bus, had a indoor picnic/movie night where we ended up watching Monty Python, watched lots of friends and bake off and done more sleeping. Sleep is the way forward. How I'm gonna get up early when school starts, I have no idea.

Good luck anyone with exam results, you'll all do wonderful. Since I only did some this year I don't get them till I go back to school, but I hope you all get the results you want :)

How were your holidays?
