Patterned Leggings

red nose day wrist band :))

|| Leggings - New Look   Top - H&M     Vest Top - Primark      Socks - Accessorize ||

To be honest, patterned leggings aren't really my style - I'm not one who likes to stand out. But when I saw these a couple of weeks ago I fell in love with them. And the socks, yes I have a bad habit/slight obsession with buying cute socks. Therefore when I saw these I had to buy them. I need to stop.
It has been unbelievably cold here in England and I am incredibly jealous of all you Americans - give us your weather! Hope you all had a great week

Double Crossed - Guest Post By Ruby

Thanks to Helena for letting me do this guest post! If you aren't already following this amazing blog of hers... FOLLOW IT NOW! Yes, that is an order. Recently I read a novella, by Ally Carter, and it was absolutely amazing! Here's my exclusive (cause I'm not posting it on my blog) review:

Book blurb:
Macey McHenry—Glamorous society girl or spy-in-training? W.W. Hale V—Heir to an American dynasty or master thief? There are two sides to every coin. Whether these two can work together is a tossup. Born into privilege, Macey and Hale are experts at mingling with the upper class. But even if they’ve never raised an eyebrow at the glitz, neither teenager has ever felt at home with the glamour.
When Macey and Hale meet at a society gala, the party takes a dangerous turn. Suddenly they’re at the centre of a hostage situation, and it’s up to them to stop the thugs from becoming hostile. Will Macey’s spy skills and Hale’s con-man ways be enough to outsmart a ruthless gang? Or will they have to seek out the ultimate inside girl to help?
The worlds of Heist Society and the Gallagher Girls collide in Ally Carter’s fast-paced, high-stakes and tantalizing new story. Get a behind the scenes glimpse as Ally delivers an irresistible thriller that is full of her signature style and savvy twists.

My Thoughts:
Oh wow. This novella made me ashamed. After reading this, I can't help but wonder: WHY haven't I read neither the Gallagher Girls series nor the Heist Society series?!????!!! Ahhhh! I am genuinely ashamed of myself now. Really, I am. Double Crossed had it all: feisty heroines, action and American presidents! Oh wow! It was a tiny bit slow around the middle – but who cares? Despite all the references to the series this was based on, I still found this one heck of a ride..! Pick up this book and you won't regret it. Macey is one of those characters you can't help but love – she's clever, mischievous, disobedient... She's just the sort of rebellious teenage spy you need in a high-action novella like this! Oh, and Hale wasn't half-bad either..! I know Double Crossed is meant to be a dream come true for any Ally Carter fan... But it's an even better introduction to both series for a person who knows nothing about either them! I'll be on the lookout for both these series from now on!

A Rather Late January Favourites

Now 83, Don't Judge A Girl By Her Cover By Ally Carter, Maybelline Great Lash, Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Concealer, The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in Pomegranate

A rather late round up of my favourites from the previous month. Can't believe we are already a whole month into 2013!

I started reading the Gallagher girls series I think a couple of weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with them. I'd been wanting to read them for a while and I am glad to say I was not disappointed. I did think that they would just be about spies and they're romances and not really any mystery of intrigue like most other spy books but how I was wrong. These books are seriously addictive.

I got Now 83 for Christmas and I have been listening to it on my Ipod since then. It filled with some of the most popular and some of my favourite songs of 2012 and I love it.

The three remaining things are basically the only makeup (bar my powder to set it all in place) products I have been wearing for the past month. Maybelline Great Lash is a really good mascara - it is super black and adds quite a bit of volume and definition. Its not great at separating and takes a bit of time to get them looking right ,so if your often rushed for time it may not be for you, but if you do have a extra minute or so it looks amazing!

I've been looking for a good dupe, available in the UK, for the Maybelline Baby Lips and I think I may have found it. This Body shop Lip Balm is just perfect . It is super moisturising and smells amazing but what makes it what I've been wanting for ages is that it has a pretty red tint. For someone who would love the wear red lipstick but isn't brave enough this is perfect for me. it just adds a subtle hint of red to your lips which looks absolutely gorgeous. I might do a separate review with swatches if anyone would like that?

But my stand-out over-all favourite is the Concealer. Unfortunately, my beloved No7 concealer was drying out my skin quite a bit and looking cakey. So I bought this one. Oh My Days. This stuff is frikkin' insane. When you wear it, it looks like you have perfect skin and are wearing no make-up. Perfect colour, not cakey, not drying..... need I go on? Best concealer ever. Full stop.

Also, I bought a new camera! ^_^. It is a Canon Ixus 500 HS and it is already making my photography so much better. I used it in this post (to be honest these pictures don't do it justice) and hope to use a lot more pictures from it on my blog.

I hope February will be great for all of you!
Lots Of Love, Helena

25 Facts About Me

I live in England, where it rains alot and its often cold and never sunny. But I love it and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

I have a huge fear of spiders.

Despite this, my worst nightmare is perfoming/speaking/doing anything in front of people. It is awful .

I can't go a day without a cup of tea

I wish I had my own bathroom so much.

I hate brownies with nuts in. It's just wrong

I wish I toke more photgraphs but now I have a new camera, I plan to do so.

I care way to much what people think of me and hate offending people. If I think I have (Even when I haven't, my friends have told me), I will have sleepless nights about it - I feel that bad.

Much to my annoyace, people constantly pronounce my name wrong. It's Hel-en-ah NOT Hel-ain-ah.

I have played tennis every Saturaday for the past 5 or so years, and yet still can barely hit the ball over the net.

One of my favourite places are Airports. For some reason, I just love them.

I like being on my own way to much

My lucky number is 7 and it is the same as my mums.

I have no idea what I want to be when I am older, and to my constant annoyance, people are always asking me this question

I hate Horror films.

I can't wink. I find it literally impossible

I have OCD about finishing books. If I start a book, regardless of whether I love it or absolutly hate it, I have to finish it. I think there's only been about 3 or 4 books i can remeber not finishing.

I am very, very indecisive. It is ridiculous how long I take.

When I leave my hair to dry natuarally after a shower, It looks like my head has exploded. The is why one of my most treasured beauty items, is my beloved hair straighteners.

I will pretty much go on any ride at a theme park, but much to my disappointment, most of my friends won't. In that sense, I will do anything.

The first ever song I bought off Itunes was Katy Perry Hot n Cold. Does anyone remember when that was big?

I am clumsy. Very, very clumsy. And I often break and lose things.

My favourite place in the world is north cornwall. I go there every year and couldn't imagine anywhere I'd rather be (as long as the weathers nice). I am already counting down the days until I go again.

If I could have one wish, it would be to rewind time and change everything I've done wrong. If I had a second, I'd love a invisabilty cloak.

I started this blog on the 20th August 2012 and my first post go no comments and 5 pageviews. It made me very, very happy.

Hope you know a bit more about me!!
Lots Of Love

Inspiration

I just felt like posting something like this. Photography fascinates me, I love looking at it and wish i took more of it. I love how you capture a whole life-time in just one photograph. Unfortunately, my camera reached a new low when trying to take some outfit posts for this blog. Bad camera. I am going to get a new one very soon. And then I hope to post my own snaps to post.

Hope you are having a good week!
Helena xx
